The Story
Johnson Creek Bridge To Nowhere is Located outside Segovia, Texas, and crosses the Johnson Fork of the Llano River. The Johnson Creek Bridge is a through truss design built in 1938 and originally carried Texas Highway 27's traffic. When the highway department completed Interstate 10 in the 1970s, the new construction drastically changed the existing road system in the area.

Today, the road ahead of this bridge dead-ends approximately 1 mile ahead. Thus, the bridge serves as a historic reminder of how things used to be.
