I spotted this first-generation Mercury Cougar next to a first-generation Ford Mustang outside a body shop in Whitney, Texas.

Mercury, a division of Ford, introduced the Cougar in 1967 as a luxury version of the Ford Mustang, which featured European styling through flip-up headlights and simulated wood trim, along with a longer wheelbase and V-8 power.
