Lake Victor, Texas
HISTORY
Welcome to Lake Victor, Texas
A Town Without A Lake.
Lake Victor, Texas is located in Burnet County on RM 2340. Believe it or not, Lake Victor is a town without a lake. When the railroad came through, around the turn of the 20th century, fill was used to level the tracks, and when there was enough rain, the excavated area would become a sometimes lake. Although the locals considered the borrow pit a lake, the town was prosperous for farmers and ranchers until The Great Depression.
